The Great Commission of making disciples is our task. We are here to “Bring God to people, and people to God.” Building new facilities will provide for senior adult education, student education, and multi-purpose (fellowship) ministries. Frankly, we have needed these facilities or some time. It took a flood and the condemning of our buildings to get us on our way. It is time to stop talking and go to work. Proverbs 14:23 says, “In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.” We are in need of both senior adult education space and facilities that will meet the needs of our youth. We have already seen God at work through our BUILDING TEAM and the plans they have presented to our church body. In Ecclesiastes we read, “For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, knowledge, and skill . . .” (Ecclesiastes 2:21a) Our Building Team is an example of men and women being filled with God’s Spirit and “ . . .with wisdom, knowledge, and skill . . .” resulting in plans that will meet these needs, and more. SANDIA BAPTIST CHURCH is all about people and relationships. Our MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING (fellowship) will give us the ability to meet as a church family, sharing meals and building relationships. This building is designed and will be equipped so that we can have various programs, especially those of outreach. Remember, we are about ministering to people. Jesus said, “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you . . .” (John 6:27) Even so, this facility will be well equipped with a complete kitchen and will be able to seat 380 people comfortably. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.” NOW is the time; WE are the solution; YOU can be a part. In the words of the Apostle Paul, “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:1-2) Let’s faithfully follow God in giving BEYOND MEASURE. All blessings, Pastor Dan |
