I’m just an ordinary person whom the Lord has chosen to work through. I gave my life to Jesus 24 years ago. My testimony is simple: I experienced “emptiness” inside that nothing on this earth could fulfill. My fulfillment came when I met Jesus. I view myself as a “growing” Christian with one exception: I am also a “surrendered” Christian and have been for nine years. Surrendering meant that I had to let go and allow Him lead me in His direction, not mine. |

My wife, Lilia, and I surrendered our lives to Jesus in the summer of 2000 in the remote Aurora Province of the Philippines. We had plans to return to Seattle after a year, but the Lord had other plans. In February 2002 I was ordained as the pastor of Malupa Baptist Church – an unlikely choice. I lacked theological training and didn’t speak Filipino. But God blessed our obedience, even without my abilities. |

At 14, I gave my life to Jesus. The Lord has been close to my heart ever since and has always been faithful. He has disciplined me in many areas, but always drawing me closer with His unconditional love. I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Michelle, and four children. |
