| The Time Is Now |

These are exciting times at Coastal Community Church. As we prepare to build a new facility I believe there are a couple necessary ingredients as we take this journey together. The first is unity. During our “Time is Now” campaign we stressed this with our core values of the campaign: One Heart, One Mind, One Passion, and One Covenant. The second is we should give our gift with joy. Coastal as a unified group should give to the Lord and His plan for Coastal with Joy. 2 Corinthians 9:7 say: You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully. (NLT) The word “cheerful” here literally means hilarious. There should be a comfort, joy, and happiness in our gifts to the “Time is Now” campaign. Third is obedience to what God asks of us. While I am convinced the time has come for us to build a facility, and while I am convinced that God is going to provide the financial resources to make this happen; I am equally convinced that God is inviting you to be a part of making this exciting dream become a reality. One of the most encouraging verse in scripture in regards to giving is found in the book of Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD Almighty, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let me prove it to you! (NLT) Finally we see the blessing. This is the only place in the Bible God says we can test Him. It is in the area of giving. He says that if we test Him, He will be faithful to pour out on us so many blessings we will not have room to take it all in. My own little translation is that if we obey God in the area of giving He will bless your socks off. Let’s join God in this exciting vision that He has put before us. Let’s join Him as a unified body of believer, giving with joy, stepping out in obedience, and sit back and watch God pour out so many blessings we will not be able to contain all that He is doing.
