Beyond Measure

Dear First Baptist Church Family,

You and I are drawn to the immeasurable.  Whether it’s a clear starry night, a breathtaking mountain vista, a tender moment with a family member, or an inspiring rendition of your favorite piece of music, we treasure what is beyond measure.  These stir us, move us, and inspire us.

What God is doing in the life of First Baptist Church is truly Beyond Measure!  God is making us more like Jesus and people are noticing!  Vertically, God is transforming us into a worshiping people eager to meet with Him each Sunday.  We see this in our growing attendance and exuberant worship.  Horizontally, God is transforming us into a loving, enfolding, and reaching body of believers.  Individuals and classes are looking beyond themselves to reach others with the love of Christ.  As a result, many of our Sunday school classes and ministries are filled beyond capacity. Sensing God’s presence, enjoying His family, and reaching other people are exhilarating Beyond Measure experiences.

Through our Beyond Measure Capital Campaign, God is calling and challenging us to His exciting future for us.  This next leg of the journey will require thoughtful and careful prayer.  God wants each of us to come face to face with Him to consider His will for participating in our objective to provide adequate education space for every age group.  

For over 118 years, God has favored our church. First Baptist has been privileged to partner with God in His purposes in our community.  Now He wants to partner with us in this new venture for the present and future growth of our church.  The Lord will challenge and change your heart as you meet with Him in prayer.  He will stir you personally with the excitement of participating in His eternal purposes.  Your heart will leap with joy as you witness God’s ongoing work through our church and realize you had a significant part in it.  

When the Lord leads, He enables.  You will be blessed as you discover this truth for yourselves in these crucial weeks.  Please join me in making a generous, worthy, and joyful covenant in giving to the Lord over the next three years.  God will be glorified, and First Baptist Church will have an even greater impact in God’s Kingdom.
